Insurance Code section 673

Our review of the annotated history reveals the following legislative history (every “c.” below represents a separate legislative bill):

Added: 1970, c. 573
Amended:
•  1971, c. 568: inserted par. 2 of subdivision (g), relating to calculation of the return premium on a pro rata basis following cancellation of a financed insurance policy.
•  1973, c. 849: in the first sentence of subdivision (a), inserted “executed by, or on behalf of, the insured” following “writing”.
•  1982, c. 454: Routine code maintenance – made the text gender-neutral; changed statutory references to the Financial Code; substituted, in subdivision (k), “January 1, 1974” for “the effective date of the section”; and made other non-substantive changes.
•  2006, c. 740: in subdivision (i), in the first sentence, substituted “to do so” for “so to do”; inserted subdivision (k) and re-designated the remaining subdivision.
