Wyoming Research
Types of Research
Research of Wyoming State Statutes or Wyoming Rules and Regulations can be accomplished for $650.00 per enactment or administrative action and be available in approximately two weeks. If you need bill history research sooner than two weeks, the fees would be $750.00 per bill. If we are unable to locate sufficient documents on Wyoming legislative history, we would revert to a rate of $150 to $200 per hour, given the timeframe to accomplish the research. Call us at (800) 666-1917 for a free fee quote.
If your code section of interest has a long and complicated annotated history, we can trace the language for a fee. We would include our trace report and our recommendation. For more information about tracing please visit our explanation on our FAQ page.
Types of Materials You Can Expect
For statutory research, the Wyoming state legislature appears to retain very little on any bill's consideration by the committees. We look for copies of the bill, the "Bill Jacket File" (which usually contains the bill versions and a voting roll call), and the Digest of Senate Journal excerpts. Because very little survives on the Wyoming legislature's consideration of bills, instead of our usual flat fee charges for state research, we will usually charge a fee of $150 to $200 per hour, depending upon the timeframe to accomplish the research. Typically, we work with the enacting state entity, such as the state legislature or relevant state agency.
Regulatory research is provided two ways:
1) tracing of the language to its original adoption; and
2) obtaining the regulatory file maintained by the agency on the rulemaking.
