Types of Research
Research of the Rhode Island General Laws or the Rhode Island Rules and Regulations can be accomplished for $650.00 per enactment or administrative action and be available in approximately two weeks. If you need bill history research sooner than two weeks, the fees would be $750.00 per bill. If we are unable to locate sufficient documents on Rhode Island legislative history, we will revert to a rate of $150 to $200 per hour, given the timeframe to accomplish the research. Types of Materials You Can Expect
For the Rhode Island General Laws, our research generally includes, but is not limited to: bill copies, the bill history, House and Senate Journal excerpts, and background information, such as relevant competing and prior legislation. Typically, we work with the enacting state entity, such as the Rhode Island General Assembly or relevant public agency.
Regulatory research is provided two ways:
1) tracing of the language to its original adoption; and
2)
obtaining the regulatory file maintained by the agency on the rulemaking.
